Methodology
Every figure on RWAWeekly shows its source, a link and an "as of" date.
Data sources

Distributed vs represented value
- Distributed value (our headline): tokenized assets that live on a public blockchain and can be transferred between wallets.
- Represented value (shown separately): assets that are recorded on-chain, but whose ownership is held off-chain or on a permissioned ledger, so they cannot move freely between wallets.
- Stablecoins are excluded from our RWA totals unless we say otherwise.
How we process data
- We compare the same figure across sources (for example, DefiLlama against what the issuer reports). Gaps outside our tolerance limits are flagged and checked before we publish.
- Automated checks cover freshness, missing values, value ranges and unusual changes. A figure that fails a check is not published.
- Values are point-in-time snapshots. They are not performance figures and not forecasts.
